Table Tennis Champions Again!
On Friday 13th January, eighteen children (three teams) from St. Bede’s competed in the Annual Widnes Primary School’s Table Tennis Championships.
Having regularly attended the weekly after school Table Tennis Club, the children were really excited to be able to test their skills against players from other schools. All three teams performed fantastically – out of the sixteen teams entered into the competition our ‘C’ team finished 6th overall, our ‘B’ Team 3rd and our ‘A’ team - 1st!
This is the 3rd year in a row that St. Bede’s have been crowned champions of Widnes – quite an achievement!
A week later our ‘A’ team was further crowned as champions of Halton when they defeated the Runcorn champions Beechwood and now have the honour of representing Halton in the Merseyside School Games in the Summer.
