TEACHING OTHER FAITHS AT ST. BEDE’S CATHOLIC JUNIOR SCHOOL
In St. Bede’s the teaching of other faiths seeks to educate all pupils of whatever religion to be able to live a way of life that integrates their beliefs with all other aspects of what it means to be human. As part of this, the children must learn to live alongside others who are different and hold alternative views, including religious views.
Each year, two weeks are devoted to the teaching of other faiths. The pupils at St. Bede’s are introduced to the teaching, beliefs and practices of Judaism and Hinduism.
Each religion is taught separately during the Autumn Term as a specific one week topic.
