Science Week

In line with British Science Week (8th -17th March), we will be running a Science Week of our own from Monday 11th to Friday 15th March. During the week, we have a range of engaging activities planned with Wednesday 13th March possibly being the main highlight of the week. On Wednesday, the children will rotate around a carousel of five hands-on science activities – all day! The teachers are working hard to plan inspiring activities to ensure the children see the awe and wonder in the science that is all around us but most of all have some scientific fun! Some year groups will partake in a workshop led by Knowsley Safari Park. Year 5 will be transported to space when they enter the portable ‘Starlab’! The week will end with an assembly led by Mrs Wainwright and our STEM ambassador, Mrs Jeffers, during which our competition will be launched – to design a ‘bee garden’. Due to the kind help of Mrs Jeffers and the STEM team, the winning entry will actually be brought to life later in the summer term!
